Training works on rhythm rather than length. A regular shorter call beats an occasional long
\none, because the whole thing runs on the gap between them and what you were meant to be doing

This is the part nobody explains, and it is the part that separates training from an hour of

You will be given something small. Not a scene, not a fantasy, something dull and specific.
\nWear them under your clothes on Tuesday. Practise the walk. Learn what you are to call her.
\nHave the nails done by Friday and be ready to say whether you did.<\/p>\n

It is deliberately unglamorous. The point is not that the task is exciting, it is that
\nsomebody else set it and will ask about it, and the fact that you did it anyway is what changes
\nhow you think of yourself over a few weeks.<\/p>\n

Men who have done this for a while all say the same thing about it. The calls are not what
\ndid the work. The Wednesday afternoons did.<\/p>\n

Being Asked, And Being Caught<\/h2>\n

The first call is introductions and finding out whether it takes. The second is where the
\nfirst task gets set and usually where a man discovers that the week between calls is the actual
\nservice. Somewhere around the fourth or fifth, most men stop describing it as something they
\nare trying and start describing it as something they do.<\/p>\n

The ones who drop out almost always do so after the second call, and nearly always for the
\nsame reason: they booked one long session a month instead of a short one every week. This does
\nnot work on a monthly rhythm. There is nothing to be assessed on.<\/p>\n
